Civil Peace Service Specialist

The Cooperation Committee Cambodia (CCC)
Phnom Penh
  • In my role as a project officer, I work closely with community partners both domestically and internationally to promote peacebuilding and conflict resolution. I primarily focus on the elderly population who experienced the aftermath of Cambodia's civil war and assist them in sharing their stories. Additionally, I provide valuable training to young people, helping them develop their skills in documenting personal, community, or collective narratives within Cambodia's historical context. It is crucial to capture these narratives, as they serve as a means of remembrance, healing, and reconciliation.
  • A staff representative: During my time as a staff representative, I prioritized establishing a welcoming and positive environment where everyone's opinions and ideas were valued. My ultimate goal was to encourage individuals to speak up about any concerns they may have had while ensuring that minority groups were represented and treated with the respect they deserved. I strongly believe that by collaborating and working together, we can cultivate a culture of equality and fairness within the organization that benefits everyone.
  • A member of the steering group for "Detect Anti-Racism and Discrimination."
I was invited to join a team of board members and colleagues from various countries in Asia and Europe to tackle the issue of racism and discrimination within the organization. Our main objective was to implement anti-racist and diversity-oriented organizational development. We worked together with colleagues from different parts of the organization to identify and implement effective strategies to combat these issues.
