• Approximately 28 months of experience working for WHO Cambodia Health Emergencies (WHE) as a short-term consultant (STC) for sub-national preparedness.
• Experiences in coordination of multi-sectoral to strengthen health security system at national and subnational level.
• Supported joint external evaluation (JEE) of Cambodia's IHR Core Capacities, in 2024
• Supported development of draft Cambodia Master Plan for COVID-19
• Conducted intra-action review (IAR) and after-action review (AAR) for COVID-19 and outbreak response, that required multi-sectoral involvement and partners, documentation and sharing with them best practices, challenges and recommendations.
• Supported government to conduct risk assessment with relevant stakeholders to identify level of risk and make recommendations for response to outbreak.
• Supported outbreak response team to conduct descriptive and analytical epidemiological study and developed report of outbreak investigation.
• Abilities to coordinate with team of subnational preparedness including managing SSAs in technical areas to ensure team performance for better results.
• Approximately three years working with World Health Organization (WHO) as Short-Term Consultant (STC) of Field Epidemiology Training and Outbreak, including one year supporting on local preparedness at local level to strengthen their health emergency readiness, preparedness, and response systems overall.
• Supported team to risk assessment of dengue and outbreak response
• Involved in development of strategic plan of Fiel Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP ) and action plan and curriculum.
• Coordinated in joint external evaluation of applied epidemiology programme (AET) in 2019
• Four years working with WHO as technical officer of Applied Epidemiology Training (AET), Special Service Agreement (SSA). Coordinating, providing training and supervising AET trainees to complete the course including surveillance and epidemiological projects.
• Coordinated with different national program including malaria and dengue to coordinate and support AET/FETP trainee for epidemiological projects, including supported trainee on evaluation of dengue sentinel site in Takao in 2016.
• Collaborated with dengue programme to provide lecture and practical exercise on dengue surveillance and larva survey in community.
• More than ten years working for Department of Communicable Disease Control. Involving outbreak investigations with the surveillance team. Worked closely with other national programmes and partners to conduct outbreak investigation and response.
• Ten years experiencing in Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI) in which focusing on Newborn and Child Health including clinical management of malaria and dengue
• Experiences in monitoring, evaluating, and preparing requests and action plans for Integrated of Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) in child health program. Working closely and collaborating with national programs such as malaria, dengue, nutrition, ARI/Diarrhea, EIP, and National Maternal and Child Health Center, to improve child and newborn health and strengthen health care system. Participating in Nutrition Working Group to update and sharing experiences and new research among other agencies and stakeholders. Providing technical supports to provincial health departments, operational districts and health centres on the progress and implementation of IMCI.
• More than four years experiences as a trainer in IMCI clinical training, IMCI follow-up training and refresher courses, and facilitator in training course of programme management guideline (PMG) of Managing of Programmes to improve Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health in Cambodia. Monitoring the progress of IMCI implementation and planning activities, related to indicators of IMCI. Providing technical supports and feedback to ODs and HCs levels.
• Two-year experiences in gender related activities in diseases prevention and control, Ministry of Health. Working as a focal point for Communicable Diseases Control Department in which collaborate and coordinates with gender specialist of ADB/GMS project to follow up gender related activities among 10 provinces supported by ADB/GMS- CDC2.
• Experience in teaching midwife students on area of behavioral science on topic of sociology of women birth and Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI) at Technical School for Medical Care (TSMC), University of Health Sciences.
• Three years of experiences in Maternal Reproductive Health at Preah Vihear Provincial health department. Working closely to health centres staff to provide technical support on reproductive health and family planning through follow-up and supervision. Arranging workshop on reproductive and maternal health.
