Over 10-year experiences in health, particularly on maternal, child and infant health, sexual and reproductive health and rights. Seeking to tackle health and social issues and inequities. Being enthusiastic to find the root causes of problems and solve them cooperatively, collectively and non-violently with teams and/or other organizations/ institutions. Love people in general, but best in working with and for children to see new/younger generations flourish. Also, interest in the current high prevalence of non-communicable disease such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and so on.

Summary of project: aims at describing and evaluate real contributing factors of undernutrition among infants aged from 0 to 6-month year old in Chikreng district, Siem Reap province, Cambodia (2 commune – Anlung Somnor consisting of 12 villages and Chikreng consisting of 12 villages). As the field manager, I’m mainly responsible for:

· Provided supervision to and work in field with field workers

· Created weekly schedule and report, then submitted and shared with team and Personal Investigator (advisor)

· Arranged daily activities with team and for team

· Checked accuracy of collected data at field/home visit/site

· Delegated some technical and administrative works to field workers based on each field worker’s abilities

· Received information from field workers, discussed issues and barriers the field workers faced daily, and provided appropriate solutions for each problem

· Made and submitted monthly reports to health centers

· Manage budget in the site/field (all payment related to the project) and ensure project materials are sufficient and well managed.

· Communicated with Personal Investigator (advisor) about necessary information and issues

· Communicated with local authorities such as village chiefs, volunteer health support groups, health center chiefs and staff mainly to look for and register newborn babies

This is Project on Improving Continuum of Care with focus on Intrapartum and Neonatal Care or IINeoC project in Cambodia. My main responsibilities on this project were:

· Supported preparation of lesson plans, contents and

training materials and guidelines related to intrapartum

care, post-partum care and Safe Delivery App (SDA)

· Participated in and supported developing short and long videos as well as applications/app(s) related to the project’s health topics as well as e-learning tools, Cambodian Midwives Association website

· Provided facilitation to health care providers and teachers in provinces and regional training centers on the developed e-learning materials related to newborn delivery and midwifery and newborn care

· Positively and effectively communicated among important persons including project experts and advisor, Cambodian health counterparts at national level and other national and international health partners

· Made reports and minutes to be submitted to project experts and advisor.

This is Project on Improving Maternal and Newborn Care through Midwifery Capacity Development or MENECA project in Cambodia. My main responsibilities were:

· Prepared, conducted and coordinated project’s meeting, trainings and workshops

· Assisted in preparing lesson plans, contents and training materials and guidelines related to woman-baby friendly care and nursing process

· Supported management of the newly established training unit in Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital

· Assisted in providing facilitation skills with participatory approach to new trainers

· Coordinated communication between project experts and Cambodian counterparts in health mainly with the sub-national level

· Wrote reports and minutes to be shared with project team

Accomplishments

1. The study at New Zealand (Master of Public Health and Postgraduate diploma in Public Health were full-scholarship awards)

2. I had Participated in some international events such as on September, 2019, I was selected to join International Training Program in Indonesia (The strengthening of maternal and child health handbook implementation in collaboration with professional organizations). Also, on October, 2009, I was selected to join Asia Pacific Conference in China (5thAsia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights)

Additional Information

*To widen my professional skills and with a great sense of humanitarian work, I used to volunteer in some organizations such as a Social Worker at Honour Village Cambodia (school for children) for about a month in 2017 and volunteer as a Peer Educator at People Health Development Association for 8 months in 2009.
