Work History

Head of Careers & Higher Education, Extended Essay

Northbridge International School
Phnom Penh, Phnom Penh. Cambodia
08.2023 - Current
  • As Head of Careers & Higher Education, I lead a comprehensive careers program school-wide from grade 6 to 12. I have successfully implemented innovative education initiatives that leverage partnerships with universities and local stakeholders. I'm currently focused on initiating and researching optimal partnerships for the IBCP, and familiarizing myself with the framework for this career-related program.
  • I design and implement strategies for students to explore their interests in school and beyond. Effectively sourcing internships in the local community, work experience, and any other special opportunity students can avail of to increase their chances of university application success. I run a comprehensive MOOCs program for grade 11 students.
  • The full university readiness package is delivered through 1-hour sessions with students once a week. This results in worldwide applications. I administer the school's UNIFROG system, which enables streamlining the process, and I'm familiar with all country admissions policies and processes. Comprehensive data and tracking are kept of both offer and final destination for analyzing trends over time. A full school policy was written last year.
  • I regularly deliver workshops for parents and staff on all matters relating to university trends and changes to the job market, and regularly write blog features for the school website.
  • As an experienced IBDP teacher, I am currently in the process of writing a new policy for the Extended Essay, having taken over the position as coordinator. I am also the CAS Coordinator for Grade 11 and 12.
